It’s a beautiful opportunity . Remember when the experience of buying kicks mattered as much as the kicks themselves? If you grew up in the '90s like I did, chances are the answer is yes.
It may be hard to believe, but back then, in the era of Jordan, Pippen, Shag, and Penny, hype culture didn't exist, or at least not in the modern
sense.
We didn't have drops. We didn't have Stock X and we surely didn't have the bots. We had the mall and Eastbay. We had B&l and Foot Locker.
We had coo local shops, and when our moms took us kicks shopping it was an event.
Whether it was copping fresh kicks for the first day of school or getting laced for the upcoming late night at the YMCA, the only hype around was the genuine excitement we felt for the kicks of that error.
Not to mention the young ladies who admired our hoop game a lil bit more if we had the fresh Penny's on. I still remember when I was 11 years old, buying my first pair of name brand kicks.
Unfortunately, somewhere along the way excitement I felt when purchasing a new kicks dissipated. The childhood memories Until one day, well into my 30s, I found myself thinking of a way to bring ladies who have been ignored in the kicks game a platform. So came the idea of Kicks N Cakes anecdotes focused on telling the stories behind the shoes that birthed what we know today as kick game.
It immediately took me out. That single statement. Being fresh! I enjoyed when a woman that asked me if I washed my shoes.
Being fresh for the ladies tapped into a long lost feeling, the feeling you get when, you pulled up to the mall, allowance on full, with only one goal. Buying new kicks.
It was as if a time machine took you back to that Footlocker at the Lakewood Mall in
Washington state. You remember the excitement you felt when, you wore the kicks out of the store, and to school the next day.
I bet you remember what it was like to feel fresh, with a cold kick game huh? That's the VIBE, same VIBE Kicks N Cakes wants to bring back for the hustle and the ladies who desire
more than life is offering them right now.
You've heard the expression a hundred times and it rings true over and over: a picture is worth a thousand words. I also believe the
images represent feelings vibes and energy.

One of my goals as a brand is to bring light to and glamorize otherwise everyday life, by taking something overlooked, making it amazing, and creating a lasting impression on anyone who sees it. Allow me to highlight what makes you, you and immortalize it in ways that make you love yourself, and your life, even more.
Even as a young gentleman, my mother taught me that one of the most empowering things about women, is being able to take something that's already yours and fine-tune it to your personal definition of perfection. You don't need to change; you're already bad, beautiful and intoxicating. It's time to capture that in flawless images and videos that will be a constant reminder of the fire inside of you.
